Robotic Process Automation
RPA is 1 of the key technologies that will be boosting efficiency of companies in the years to come. In a lot of jobs people are doing the same thing over and over again. With RPA the process can be automated so the worker can focus on his real added value. In this internship we want to work out several cases for RPA (such as):
- Automated e-mail processing for invoices/sales orders/order confirmations/…
- Periodic recurring reporting
- Automated helpdesk
- …
For this we use the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) which is SAP’s key cloud based technology platform
Functional Supply Chain or Finance & Accounting internship
As an intern in the Supply Chain or Finance & Accounting area you will work on a project to define and document a template of an SAP ERP Solution (S/4HANA Public Cloud) for a specific industry or business model.
You will start with exploring and training yourself in S/4HANA Public Cloud. Afterwards you will take part in the configuration, documentation and set up of processes in Supply Chain or Finance & Accounting.
Together with and under the guidance of an Expertum coach you will be involved in all phases of the process and work towards the end result of your internship: a demo of a prepared solution that is ready to be presented towards potential customers.

Applying Blockchain technology to boost SAP beyond ERP
The internship project consists of the setup of a Blockchain proof of value in the supply chain area. Expertum provides the use of the latest SAP S/4HANA Enterprise management demo system where a blockchain case for secure interchange of delivery and shipping information can be setup.
In an earlier proof of concept a first setup for a blockchain on Hyperledger was done. In the next step we want to leverage this setup and go a step further.
You will specifically work on the integration between the blockchain and our S/4HANA demo system via the Business Technology Platform platform (BTP) from SAP.
The intent is to prove the real advantages of Blockchain in the shipping area in a hands-on way based on the latest SAP technology platform version: perform a setup for smart contract smart contract triggering payment of the invoice in 2 SAP systems (vendor / customer).
Augment SAP Business Processes with AI and AR
In previous internships we have developed an own application that is digitizing the picking and shipping process from warehouse to the customer's doorstep.
In the next step we want to leverage AI and Augmented Reality to build an application that is able to use AI to do object recognition in the picking process.
Leverage AI and Image classification to automate business processes
One of our customers is willing to explore the power of Image classification to automate the processing of customer complaints and trigger automated follow up actions. You will set up a use case on SAP’ s business technology platform that will interpret images and depending on the recognized failures on the image will trigger the proper actions that can then be processed internally. You will check how to use whether the available object recognition software is capable of identifying the proper objects or if we will build our own model powered by machine learning.
How our SAP operations teams manages the systems of our customers
Our SAP operations team is amongst other responsible for the management and support of over 1000 SAP Systems. During this internship you will learn how SAP systems work and how normal system engineering/admin skills help you in demystifying SAP systems. Next to that our Operations teams is also responsible for our own internal systems and you can take part in different potential projects:
- Set up of CPI-flow (integrations) between 4me (ticketing system) and SAP-Public Cloud
- Tenant migration of azure combined with CLI integration 1 password & remote desktop manager
- Microsoft Power automate approvals for leave requests
